HTC Mini+ is a remote control for your portable smartphone

With phablets and huge phones taking over markets, HTC thinks these handheld devices are not portable anymore and has thus introduced the HTC Mini+ Bluetooth accessory.

It an be used for taking calls, getting notifications for text messages, emails and events, multimedia streaming, remotely controlling slideshows and basically most of the things that your smartphone is already capable of doing.

One of its advantages is that it allows you to take calls and at the same time, surf the web, play games or watch videos on your smartphone. And if you think all those remote control applications available for your handheld gadgets could not quite cut it, then you can use the Mini+ for remotely controlling your TV.

And what’s more, this feature combines with the built-in laser pointer and turns itself into a portable remote for slideshows during presentations.

For carrying out the aforementioned tasks with ease, the Taiwanese company has already installed applications like CIR/Sense TV and PowerPoint controls on the device.

While it connects to smartphones via Bluetooth, thanks to its 2.1 + EDR profile, potential buyers can also make use of its NFC pairing feature.

Furthermore, it comes drenched in the shade of metallic silver and accommodates a 320mAh battery within its compact form factor. You can expect the gadget to cough up the juice for talk time of close to 9 hours and it stays powered up for around 95 hours in the standby mode.

It should be noted that the HTC Mini+ Bluetooth accessory is only compatible with select HTC phones such as the One mini, Butterfly S, Desire 200 and Desire 500.
